Don't forget your passport!
Your passport must have at least six months left until expiration or you will not be allowed to fly.

Do I need outlet converters?
Nope! The outlets in Mexico are the same as the ones in the United States.

Don't drink the water!
You should plan to rely on bottled water while in in Mexico. BUT, the water at the wedding will be filtered and drinkable.

How do I convert pesos to dollars?
The exchange rate fluctuates daily, but an easy trick is to divide the number of pesos by 17. This will give you a rough estimate.

Bring comfortable shoes!
San Miguel is very walkable, but there are several hills downtown and most of the streets are cobblestone. We recommend you plan to wear flat, comfortable shoes when you’re out exploring.

San Miguel is at elevation.
SMA is at 6,200 feet. This is about the same as Jackson, Wyoming and Colorado Springs. Please plan your drinking accordingly!

What is the dress code?
Dress code for the wedding is black tie; dress code for welcome drinks is festive cocktail.
Ladies are advised to bring a shawl on both Friday and Saturday. Welcome drinks and the wedding reception will occur outdoors in a tented and heated environment, but the wedding ceremony will occur fully outdoors.

Do I need to learn Spanish?
Nope! English is widely spoken in San Miguel. In the event you find yourself in need of a few Spanish phrases, this should help:
-Dónde está el baño? (where is the bathroom)
- La cuenta? (asking for the check)
-Cuánto? (asking for the price)
-Más tequila por favor! (I’m feeling a little tired, I think I’ll just head home and see you guys tomorrow)
